How do I list my bus with Busforsale.com?
If you need to sell something, an older bus, an RV, etc. before you buy a bus, we can assist you in two ways:

1. If you need to keep your vehicle to travel in, until you sell it, we can "market" the unit for you. We will design a web page and listing for you and place it on our "For Sale by Owner" section. Your name and phone numbers will be listed and we will direct any inquiries to you. We will mail out brochures of your vehicle to prospective clients and walk in traffic will see your vehicle posted in our office. We charge a one time web design fee of $150.00 and a monthly listing fee of $50.00 for that service. 
   
2. If you want us to sell your coach, we will send you a listing agreement, and market and sell your coach.  In addition to our web site, we advertise monthly in three national trade periodicals.  We also coop with other dealers and our location in Nashville gives us a lot of drive in traffic.
   

Do you provide, or can you arrange financing?
Your best and least expensive means to finance is with your local bank. If you have a good credit history, and other assets to help you provide collateral for your bus loan, you should be able to borrow from the people that know you. Banks will typically want 20% down on equipment older than 10 years. They normally will lend up to 60 months for that type of equipment.

If you buy a coach less than 10 years old, most banks will lend longer, maybe as much as 120 months. If the unit is less than 10 years old, most RV lenders will consider the loan also.  Volvo Commercial Finance Inc., Jeff McDowell, 7025 Albert Pick Rd. Suite 105, Greensboro, NC 27409, 336-931-3732 (phone and fax) is currently providing financing, primarily for Prevost conversions.

Some coaches may carry a finance opportunity from a manufacturer. If the owner is buying a new coach from a particular manufacturer, and you qualify, the manufacturer may lend money on the older bus to assist in the sale of the new coach.

Will you take a trade in?

Our policy is to not be in "selling competition" with our customers who retain us to sell their coach.  That is why we do not buy units for resale, and why we do not take "trade ins".  On occasion, one of the listing clients will advise us that they will consider a trade, and we will then make that notation on that particular coach listing. 

 

Will you sell my RV, school bus conversion, fifth wheel, specialty trailer conversion, etc.?

We will post virtually any unit on our For Sale by Owner section.  We will build the web page similar to the buses we have in our inventory.   However, unless it is a "bus", which means a Class I coach such as an MCI, Prevost, Eagle, Van Hool, or Neoplan, we probably cannot be too effective in selling it from our lot.


Do you convert buses?
No. However, there are several good companies here in Nashville and we can direct you to their locations. There are also several other good companies across the country.

Do you make mechanical repairs on equipment?

Yes, we have a mechanic on staff that can do many of the smaller bus repairs here in our garage. Depending on the repair required, it may still be necessary for us to refer you to a full service bus garage.

What would it cost to convert an Entertainer coach to a motorhome?

This is a loaded question and is based upon the extent of the modifications and the materials used. However, based upon conversions many clients have done, we can quote some approximate dollar figures.

The typical entertainer coach has 9 to 12 bunks located in the center of the coach. If you confine the majority of your modification dollars to that area, it can prove to be an economical conversion. For example, if you remove the row of bunks next to an existing restroom on an entertainer coach, and add a shower with a hot water tank, new fresh water and gray water tanks, they take up approximately half the bunk area. You then can convert the other half to closet space. That will cost about $5,500 to $6,000. If you then want to add a full galley in another row of bunks, that will cost approximately $10,000.

These are retail cost estimates done by professional shops here in Nashville. Use these estimates as a frame of reference.

Is there a way to get further details on the buses in your inventory?

We now provide videos or a DVD of any of the coaches that we have listed on our web site which are on our lot.  We also offer a unique opportunity to view the bus "live" by setting up a Live Web Cam screening on the bus.  The charge is $75.00 to have one of our professional sales people talk with you over the phone while walking through the bus and you can view the it all on  your computer.  You will be directing the video to show exactly what you want to see on the bus and all of your questions can be answered by our sales staff as you are seeing the bus on your screen.  It is as close to being on our lot and walking through the bus as you can get without actually driving to Nashville!  All you need to do is call our office and we will set up your video at your convenience.
